Spring is finally on the way, which means that I’ve got spring cleaning on the brain! But I’m not just thinking about what cleaning tasks I’ll be tackling in the coming weeks—I’m also thinking about what tools and supplies I’ll need to accomplish those tasks!
They say that a workman is only as good as his tools, and I’ve always felt that this maxim is equally applicable to cleaning tools. If you’d rather have a quick and easy spring cleaning experience than one involving backbreaking labor for hours on end, starting out with the right equipment on hand can make all the difference!
In order to help you set yourself up for spring cleaning success, today I’ll be sharing a list of some of the most useful cleaning and organizing products to have in your arsenal. I hope this list proves useful to you, whether as a shopping list or just as a reminder to make sure you’re well stocked on supplies once spring arrives! :-)
26 Products That Will Make Your Spring Cleaning Easier 1. Shark DuoClean Rocket Corded Ultra-Light Vacuum
This is my everyday go-to vacuum, and it does a great job with both light cleanups and more thorough jobs. To me, it offers the best of both worlds between cordless and corded vacuums—it’s lightweight and easy to maneuver, but also plenty powerful and I don’t have to worry about it dying on me!
2. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
I could write a whole post about my love for Magic Erasers. Oh wait, I already did! ;-) They’re my go-to tool for scuff marks, stubborn residues, and other messes that need a bit of elbow grease. I like to cut mine down into smaller pieces (usually four) so they last longer.

Finally, a decent-sized glass spray bottle that’s perfect for homemade cleaning solutions! These spray bottles (which are available in my online shop) hold 16 ounces and are made of protective amber-colored glass, making them a must-have for your homemade cleaning arsenal.
And while you’re at it, check out my cleaning recipe spray bottle labels! Each label in the set bears the name, recipe, and instructions for making one of my favorite homemade cleaners. With these handy labels, you’ll never have to go searching for the recipe when it’s time to make more!

5. Super Sliders
The conference table at our studio is heavy, but it’s easy to slide around thanks to these furniture sliders! Put them under the legs of your bulky furniture and you’ll be able to slide it right out of the way when cleaning.
6. OXO Good Grips Extendable Duster
There may not be a way to make dusting fun, but you can at least make it easier! This extendable duster can pivot any which way to reach under couches, on top of ceiling fans, and anywhere else you need to clean. And when you’re done, just toss the microfiber cover in the wash!

8. mDesign Fridge Bins
My daughter Britta has a set of these fridge bins and she swears by them! They’re great for corralling items together and reducing chaos in your fridge. Plus you can slide them out easily to get the stuff in the back, rather than having to reach way back in the fridge.
9. Anchor Hocking Glass Cracker Jars
We make the most of our limited kitchen storage space at our studio by storing our bulk ingredients in plain sight. These glass storage jars have a clean and classic look, and the vinyl labels we added make it easy to identify what’s inside.

Keeping my pantry well-organized makes throwing dinner together so much easier. With this can organizer, I can quickly see exactly what I have and what I’m running low on. It would be perfect for food storage closets too.
11. Copco 3-Tier Spice Organizer
It’s a little embarrassing to admit it, but I currently have three different bottles of paprika in my pantry. Every time a recipe called for it, I’d peek in the cupboard and assume I didn’t have any. Now that I have this spice organizer, my cupboard looks tidier and I can actually see what I have on hand! :-)
12. Lawn & Leaf Garbage Bags
If your spring cleaning will take you into the yard as well, don’t forget to stock up on heavy duty trash bags! These ones are extra sturdy, extra large and perfect for gathering leaves and other yard refuse.

I use these super versatile bins in almost every closet in my house and studio! They’re great for holding bedding and out of season clothing. I also use them to control chaos on the floor of my kitchen pantry.
17. Rubbermaid Deluxe Carry Caddy
A caddy like this is a must for efficiently cleaning your home. Instead of running around gathering cleaning supplies, keep them with you as you move from room to room. Alternatively, this is a great way to corral crafting supplies.
18. Rubbermaid Roughneck Utility Bucket
A good sturdy bucket comes in extremely handy for so many different jobs! From mopping the floor, soaking stained clothing, washing the car, or serving as an impromptu ice bucket for cold drinks, I simply could not live without one.

23. Simple Houseware Over-The-Door Organizer
Over-the-door shoe organizers are one of my favorite organizing “hacks.” They’re useful for so much more than just shoes! I use one in my pantry for everything from foil and trash bags, to bag clips and granola bars. Keep one near the front door to keep wallets, umbrellas, and keys handy.
24. Southern Homewares Under Shelf Basket

We love these under-the-shelf baskets for corralling small things and helping keep cabinets a bit more organized! Not to mention it helps makes use of every available inch of space!
25. MAYKI Pumice Stone
I actually have a whole post on ways to use a pumice stone for more than just removing rough skin from heels! Pumice stones work great for cleaning toilet bowl stains, removing burned on gunk from the oven, pulling dog and cat hair from rugs, and much more.
26. Magnetic Spice Tins
My daughter-in-law Kaitlyn told me about these magnetic spice jars, which she initially bought because her tiny spice cabinet made it impossible to find anything. So she put these tins on the side of her fridge right next to her stove, and she says they make cooking so much easier!
