How To Make Baked Falafel Baked
I usually make baked falafel at my home. Deep fried fritters always taste good but I avoid them for health reasons and also because baked falafel taste exquisite with hummus.
It is easy to make for all you need is to coarsely grind chickpeas with coriander, parsley(optional), green chilies and then shape them in the shape of patties.
After that spray some oil on a baking sheet and place patties on it. Bake them for 10-12 minutes in 375* F (you can pre-heat them if you want) and flip from both sides until they are golden brown. You can eat them with hummus or tomato ketchup.
Another way of enjoying falafel is by rolling it in a tortilla, adding some fresh tomatoes, cucumber and grated cheese on top. This way you can eat it like a roll. I like to grill my roll and enjoy it with my cup of tea.

Falafel is easy to make. The only thing to keep in mind is to soak the chickpeas overnight and then grind them coarsely. I love to make falafel they are so healthy, vegan and gluten-free. I like that you can quickly make them as an appetizer or eat them as a late-night snack.
Can Imake the falafel mixture ahead?
Yes! In fact, resting the mixture overnight could even help when it comes to forming the balls. You can make the mixture up to 3 days in advance. Just be sure to refrigerate it in an airtight container until ready to use.
How long do they keep once theyre fried?
Like most fried things, falafel is obviously the tastiest when freshly cooked. Kept in an airtight container in the fridge, it can last up to 3 days. In a pinch, it can be microwaved. If you really want to bring it back to life, though, try toasting the balls in a toaster oven (or regular oven) until warmed through in the center and slightly crisp on the outside.
What can Iserve with falafel besides pita?
Falafel is SUPER versatile. A simple salad withchopped veggiesdressed in tahini sauce and toppedwith falafel makes a delicious lunch or dinner. You could also try replacing the pita with lettuce wraps, or simply eat the falafel ballson their own! (Maybe with someGreek feta dipon the side?)

Falafel taste best when fried fresh. So I advice store the batter/dough first and deep fry when you are ready to eat. Still if you have leftovers you can either pop them in microwave. However for the best result pop them in regular oven and warm them for 5-6 minutes
