Salmon and Tuna Poke Bowls

I had an amazing poke bowl at a restaurant in Mobile, AL and really wanted to create something similar I could make at home. Here is what I came up with!

Ingredients This was enough for 2 people.
Fresh Tuna Steaks (I did 2 small tuna steaks)
Fresh Salmon ( I did 1 small piece of salmon)
2 cups of Jasmine Rice
2 1/2 tablespoons of Toasted Sesame Oil
2 1/2 tablespoons of Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon of mined garlic
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon of onion powder
Fresh ground pepper to taste
1 teaspoon of sriracha (Add more if you like it spicy)
1-2 green onions chopped
1/2 cucumber chopped into small cubes
1/2 jalapeo chopped into small cubes
1/2 jalapeo sliced
1 avocado cut into cubes
Tortilla Strips
Chopped cilantro
Toasted Sesame Seeds

Steps

First, cut up the tuna and salmon into cubes and place them in a larger mixing bowl.

Start the rice. It took mine 15 minutes to cook and the rest of the recipe does not take long.

Add the minced garlic, toasted sesame oil, soy sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, sriracha, 1 green onion copped and freshly chopped cilantro.

Add in cucumber, jalapeo, avocado, and toasted sesame seeds. Stir it all together.

Once the rice is finished, let it cool for a few minutes. Place the rice in a bowl and top with the poke mixture. I added some additional soy sauce and sriracha onto mine individually. From there, I topped it with freshly sliced jalapeos, green onions, cilantro and tortilla strips.

This is a recipe that you can add really anything to. It is versatile and easily changeable.

If you make it and have suggestions, let me know!
